This year has been difficult due to communication issues with our OCT in Ethiopia. However, with a lot of perseverance and prayer, we were able to make a breakthrough. Our contact, Abe, a young man we met on our mission trip in 2019, provided us with updates, including that Pastor Tegene had been ill and in hospital for some time. Thankfully, he has fully recovered and informed us that he has acquired new land on which to develop the project, as the previous land could not be retained due to government regulations. “I’m not sure why that is, but I trust the decision.” They are currently working on this land and we are awaiting an update. Additional funding is currently en route to Ethiopia to help them in the next stage of lifting the community from the cycle of poverty.

In addition, a contact in Addis Ethiopia has informed me that people are struggling with the current global crisis and buying items are expensive. Please continue to pray for this village and for all the kind-hearted people that help and support them. God wants us to communicate and demonstrate His love and heart for people. When we demonstrate God’s love here on earth when we are the light of home and beyond.

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorised and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
