There is so much going on in the world today, wars, struggling economies, rising cost of living. A lot of people are struggling financially and worried about their future in the midst of so much uncertainty. It is in such times that we should continue to put our trust in the Lord for His provision, our Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:19-20 ESV
Seeking out His Word in season, helps keep us grounded, steadfast in our faith despite what we see or are going through in the natural. This maybe a verse from the Bible, an image from God, something that catches your attention in nature, a word from someone and confirmed by another. It resonates in your spirit and the Holy Spirit guides you to a place of trust and belief in His Word. You are refreshed and your spirit revived when things look lost. When one feels defeated or overwhelmed, His Word in season upholds you.
Through Jesus, Holy Spirit we see things differently, almost as if it is brand new. We gladly let go of fearing the outcome of the future, because we know Jesus will see us through, our doubts, our fears, our anxieties. He will give us the strength to daily persevere even on days when it does not seem that the Lord is there or hearing us or answering our prayer. We put one foot in front of the other and move and live, hanging on to His Word in season.
For me the Word in season is….
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 46:10
No matter what I am facing, ‘I AM‘ is with me always.
