In 2024, a small team met a remarkable family in Mouna, Malawi – Phillip and Martha – a husband and wife with a big dream. They shared a vision to build a goat farm that would bring hope, sustenance, and a brighter future to their village.
The team planted a small seed of support, a bit of funding and a lot of encouragement. That seed ignited something powerful in Phillip and Martha. Rather than waiting with what they had, they started by growing rice, building a foundation for something greater.
And then the dream truly began to take shape.
Word of their determination spread, and the vision captured the hearts of others. Though it’s still in the early stages, there are signs of God’s provision are everywhere.
One day, Phillip arrived at the site and noticed a bird native to the region had built a nest and laid eggs there. In their culture, this is a sign of God’s blessing, a symbol that this land, and this dream are being watched by the Creator.
Recently, the project hosted a special day for the children of the village. Many came and were fed, not just with food, but with love, joy, and the promise of a better tomorrow. In a place where daily hunger is a heavy burden, this day was a glimpse of the Kingdom where even the smallest among us are seen, fed and celebrated. From a small seed, planted in faith and watered with courage, God is growing something beautiful. The work is still young, but the harvest has already begun.
The goat project in Mouna is more than a project; it is a testimony of faith, resilience, and God’s provision. But this is just the beginning.
