It’s interesting to reflect on how much the world has evolved. Back when I was on the mission field, social media such as Snapchat, Instagram, didn’t exist in the way it does now, and the internet was painfully slow. Yet, as life moves forward, so must we as an organization.
But true progress isn’t defined by trends or popular opinion—it’s about walking in step with God, following His guidance rather than our own ideas. Every step forward is purposeful when it’s rooted in Him.
As a team, we’ve been exploring ways to connect with our supporters and introduce BTBAB to a new generation. Even while retreat attendance has declined, each gathering has been profoundly blessed by God.
Through times of prayer and discussion to discern the best way forward, we’ve felt led to host events across the UK, Ireland, and possibly Gibraltar—creating local opportunities for people to engage with BTBAB. Our first event will take place in Liverpool this June, followed by Scotland in September, with plans to visit Ireland in the New Year.
These gatherings will be a chance to network with local churches, welcome new people, and thank those who have faithfully supported us.
Each event will be led by someone local to the area—for example, Esther will host the June gathering in Liverpool, while Jenny will lead the one in Scotland.
We’re focused on expanding our network, building resources, and strengthening our support base to encourage more individuals to engage with the work we’re doing.
I am reminded of the verse Zechariah 4:10
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand”.
If you’d like to be part of the Liverpool event in June, stay tuned—more details will be shared on the website soon! Keep an eye out for updates.
