Overseas Community Transformation (OCT) is the branch of BTBAB dedicated to seeing entire communities changed over time. By partnering closely with local people, we work to break cycles of poverty and establish self-sustaining projects—often within five years.
Behind the scenes, Tina has been faithfully gathering opportunities that have come through relationships or through Toolbox teams encountering individuals with a vision to uplift their communities. Currently, two projects are taking shape.
The first involves a young man in Ethiopia whom Tina has been walking alongside since her visit there in 2019. His dream is to open a coffee shop that will provide students from the village with which we’ve been connected, the chance to continue their education, receive training, and gain employment. The Trustees have approved this project, and we are now in the process of finalising the details. Tina will share more updates on the website and in the next newsletter.
We ask for your prayers for Tina and Dan James (Trustee for OCT) as we trust God to provide the finances needed for this vision to become reality.
A second project is also in development, and we look forward to sharing more details soon. In the meantime, please continue to pray for this young man and his dream—that through it, lives will be transformed.
