We were blessed with beautiful weather for our fourth play date this year! We had one Zoom play date in March and now we have been able to hold our third play date in person. We thank God for this as it’s so lovely seeing the children play together.
Esther and I were joined on the most recent play date by my daughter, Angela, who came along to help. It was good to have a young energetic helper, especially with the physical activities as she could keep up with the children’s boundless energy! It would be great to see some more young volunteers coming to join us as we continue to develop the play dates and cater for the children’s interests.
Joy and Noah were joined by two friends and were treated to a lovely snack which Maria served – this included a caramel dip which everyone enjoyed especially on the carrot sticks! Due to the dry warm weather, we set the craft table up in the top garden so that the children could go between craft activities and physical games. The children may have been low in number due to some children being away, but they made up for the numbers with their enthusiasm in the activities which included painting and crafts, a treasure hunt, a bible story and a game of rounders. We look forward to the next play date in July.
