In 2022 one of the words we had as a ministry was that we needed to draw the Joshua generation into the work of BTBAB. (The Joshua generation bridges the older generation with a new generation. They have been given the grace to preserve the legacy of what God has done with what God is going to do). Since I have been in Liverpool I have been seeking God for opportunities to work alongside the Joshua generation and praying for a way into the Christian Unions in the 3 different universities in the city.

I love the way that God works as He answered this prayer in two different ways! In July I was approached by a man in church who wanted me to work alongside him to start a house group for young adults. This started in September and since then the number of young adults in our church aged under 25 has grown from approx. 8 to over 35! They are university students (from all 3 universities), post graduate students, apprentices and young people from the Alpha course we held in March. I know that there have been faithful servants of God praying for this and I take no credit for how this has grown, I am just thankful that I can be part of this exciting new work.

In May I also got to know a new young lady in church and I discovered that she was the president of the Christian Union at Hope University. After getting to know her over the months, she invited me to speak at the university in October. The CU aren’t allowed to promote the work of any ministry, so I felt prompted to bring along some gift bags with some goodies and I included my business card so they could find out about our work. So after 2 years of praying, God opened up the door in such a beautiful way and it has taught me a thing or two about the importance of waiting on God’s timing!
