This is the river that flows alongside Shao and the banks burst when water flooded down from the mountains after the rainy season.
Since the last update, Pastor Tegene and the team in Ethiopia have had to rent a new piece of land as there were some difficulties with the other site they were renting. Since then, they have bought topsoil for the new site and are preparing the ground for planting new crops. It is the rainy season now and Pastor Tegene has requested prayer as he and his team from the village prepare for the rainy season. When we visited the village Shao we were told that after the rainy season the floods come down from the mountains and can cause absolute devastation. The OCT team here in the UK are currently organising a trip to Ethiopia in April 2023 to visit the project and to look at all the options to determine how they can support the project “From The Ground Up”. I am really excited to see how God is working, I believe God has begun something beautiful here. And it is a gift to be able to bless from a distance, God has blessed us with hands and feet on the ground with a young man from Ethiopia who updates us on a regular basis.
