As part of BTBAB’s founding principles ‘We believe in the Trinity: God the Father; God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit’ (1 John 5: 7-8) and as we look ahead to putting together our 5-year plan for BTBAB, we have been led into a season of reflective prayer giving time and space as an operational team to ‘Hearing from God.’

Over a number of weeks, we have been meeting and will continue to meet as the Holy Spirit leads, twice a week on Mondays at 6am and on Fridays at 7:30pm. During this time of worship and prayer we seek God’s face about the future of BTBAB focusing on these areas:

A prayer that has taken relevance during our season of prayer is the prayer of St Brendan.

“Help me to journey beyond the familiar into the unknown. Give me the faith to leave old ways and break fresh ground with You. Christ of the mysteries, I trust you to be stronger than each storm within me. I will trust even in the darkness and know that my times are still in your hand.”
St Brendan.

What I love about God is that we come together not knowing what to expect and God has been wonderful, showing up each time we have met. We have had various images, words, and bible verses to bring more clarity on what God’s plans and purposes are for the ministry, as we seek a base location, look for more emerging leaders, have God directed mission trips, team members and leaders, raise a young generation into mission through our Gap Year Internship programme (GYI) and trusting that Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider, will continue to bless the ministries finances.

“Everything You do Lord, confers with Your truth. These will guide us.”
Psalm 43:3.

He is continually challenging us in the season, stirring up our faith and raising our level of expectation for what God can do through us. For we serve an awesome God.

“3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV).

We plan to share the strategy with you in 2022 once this is finalised, but we are so excited by what God is embedding in our hearts and in our spirits, revealing God omnipotent, God omnipresent and God omniscient. He is the one we serve as we step out in faith to see Him use us to His glory. So, continue to pray for us in this season as we continue ‘Hearing from God.’
