Tom and myself on a previous OCT visit to Burundi in January 2014.

It is now just under a week before the OCT team headed up by BTBAB Director, Tom Griffin will arrive in Burundi.  I’m really excited about their visit, and am currently in the process of making final preparations for their arrival.

Our potential partners have pulled together a schedule for the visit which will give the team a flavour of the work that is being done, both in the capital Bujumbura and other regions of the country. But more fundamentally, as we travel around together it will give us a good opportunity to chat, and share the vision God has given us for the Redeeming the Land project.

During the week, Peniel will hopefully be spending a considerable amount of time with the team.  This will enable the team to get to know him, and see how he feels about his journey so far with BTBAB.  For Peniel also, this will be the first time he has been to visit some of the agricultural projects in operation, and we hope this will be an inspirational time for him as he sees first-hand the type of work we plan to be involved in.

Please pray for Tom, Christian and Brenda as they make their final preparations back in the UK and Ireland, and for me as I get the last few things organised here in Burundi.  Above all, we want to listen in to the heart of God as we travel around and talk with the various people and partners we meet, so that we are walking in step with God’s plan for this project.
