Our trip in July 2015 was to the Philippines, a nation made up of over 7,000 islands in the Pacific ocean.
Though the Philippines has a relatively good economy, the divide between rich and poor is stark, and there are many people who are suffering in poverty. Despite this, we found the Fillipino people warm and hospitable, as we worked alongside the local churches to help their community.
We worked with Mercy Link ( www.mercylink.com) who have a ministry base in the island of Oriental Mindoro and work with the Mangyan people in the mountains. This was the third time BTBAB has sent a team to the Philippines.
