A Season of Beauty, Movement, and Mission
As the year unfolds, we watch the familiar rhythm of the seasons: Spring gives way to Summer, the days begin to shorten, leaves turn, and Autumn arrives. Even Winter—long, sharp, and seemingly endless—eventually softens into Spring once more.
Spring has always been one of my favourite times of year. I love those first signs of life: crocuses, snowdrops, and daffodils pushing through the soil. Springtime in North Africa was especially memorable for me. Almond blossom begins to bud, as the temperature rises to something like a warm summer’s day in the UK, and yet the evenings still carry a refreshing chill. It’s a season full of beauty and promise.

Next March, you can experience this remarkable season for yourself. We’re taking a group to North Africa to learn what it means to reach out to the poor, to engage cross‑culturally, and to meet people in their own context.

Mission Has Always Meant Movement
In Genesis 12:1, the Lord says to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” And in Matthew 28:18–20, Jesus commissions His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations… and surely I am with you always.”
Mission is about stepping out, listening to God, and allowing Him to shape us. A two‑week trip may not transform a nation overnight, but it can transform us—our hearts, our worldview, and the way we live long after we return home.
Some time ago, my own two‑week trip changed me so profoundly and radically that, like Abraham, I left my nation and lived in another. God taught me to have compassion for the people I met, and it altered the course of my life.
