No matter what season you may be walking through, whether a dry season, like the drought we are currently facing, or a season marked by God’s goodness and blessing, one thing we can be fully assured of is this…. His love for us never fails.
As the song ‘Mighty to Save’ reminds us, we have a Saviour whose love never fails, a Saviour who can move mountains. Our God is mighty to save, and through the kindness of Jesus Christ, the hope of nations, we are reminded again of His unfailing love.
Recently, I have been through a season in my life where I realised that my trust in God’s provision, and even my sense of identity, had become more focused on other things than on God. Anxiety and worry began to overshadow my trust in the LORD. But I am so glad that I serve a loving God who does not abandon us. In this season, Jesus reminded me to return to my first love and to have my sense of identity in Jesus, my Lord and Saviour.
So, I encourage you, whatever season you are going through, especially if you are facing difficulty, know that God will see you through it. Some may walk through this season with their trust firmly rooted in Christ and their faith unshakeable. Others may find that their trust in God’s provision wavers, leaving them feeling as though they are hanging on by a thread. Yet even in the midst of this, His love endures forever.
Holy Spirit, I pray that each of us would open the door to Your leading, guidance, and direction. May we step out boldly as You lead us—to pray, to act, and to respond in obedience. For it is no longer we who live, but Jesus Christ who lives in us, the hope of glory.
These verses remind us of God’s never-ending love.
5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
(Psalm 36:5-6)
18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
